It Took Me 20 Clicks to Book……and I’m So Glad I Did

I’ll be honest—before I booked my first Reiki session, I hovered over that button at least 20 times.

Click. Pause. Doubt.
Close the page.
Reopen it later.
Repeat.

The unknown can be nerve-wracking, especially when you’re already feeling vulnerable. My mind was running amok with questions: What will it be like? Will it work? What am I getting myself into?

At the time, I was dealing with intense brain fog due to chemotherapy and menopause. Earlier that same day, I had been facilitating workshops and really struggled. I had to read directly from my notes because focusing felt almost impossible—my mind just wouldn’t cooperate. That is not how I like to work, as I think we have all been through the ‘death by PowerPoint’ training & that is not fun for anyone.

Eventually, I took a deep breath, stepped outside my comfort zone, and booked the session.

And I’m so glad I did.

From the moment I arrived, I felt comfortable, safe, and deeply relaxed. The practitioner explained things gently and put me at ease straight away. There was no pressure, no expectations—just space to rest and receive.

Before I left, the practitioner said, “You’ll sleep well tonight.”
And they were absolutely right.

Not only did I sleep better, but the next time I had to facilitate a workshop, something had shifted. I flew through it with clarity and focus I hadn’t felt in a long time. The brain fog had lifted enough for me to function again—and that felt nothing short of amazing.

That experience opened my eyes to how powerful energy healing can be when used alongside conventional medicine. It wasn’t an either/or situation—it was complementary, supportive, and deeply nurturing at a time when my body and mind needed it most.

Funny enough, it was still a few years later before another question popped into my head:

“Can anyone learn how to do this?”

And that question changed everything.

Now, I’m beginning a whole new journey—one that started with hesitation, fear of the unknown, and 20 clicks of self-doubt… and led to healing, clarity, and purpose.

If you’re feeling unsure, nervous, or on the fence right now, I get it. Truly. Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is step outside our comfort zone and simply give it a go.

You never know where that one brave click might lead
